Today we launched harmon.ie 2016, proudly bringing structured collaboration to Office 2016.
As a Microsoft Partner of the Year Finalist, harmon.ie has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Microsoft. We are excited to offer an Office 365/SharePoint-based solution that extends the enterprise-focused functionality of Office 2016 with critical capabilities for structured collaboration – an essential component of any enterprise business initiative.
Microsoft has done a phenomenal job introducing ad hoc collaboration features with Office 2016, enabling Office 365 business customers to build and operate across small/transient work teams more efficiently. Updates in Office 2016 include streamlined file storage, enhanced synchronization and sharing, real-time document collaboration on the desktop, and access to Office 365 Groups. While a big step forward for ad hoc collaboration, enterprise customers are still wondering what’s in store for them – that’s where harmon.ie comes in.
harmon.ie 2016 extends the enterprise-focused functionality of Microsoft’s productivity suite. This includes offering a single-screen experience for structured collaboration across desktop and mobile devices; the ability to use SharePoint as a single central repository for emails and documents; full metadata support for SharePoint Team sites on mobile and desktop; and secure offline mobile access to documents, emails, tasks, calendars, announcements, contacts and wikis.
Microsoft weighs in; from today’s harmon.ie press release: “As a long standing Microsoft partner, harmon.ie was among the first add-ins to appear in the Office store on day one,” said Jeremy Thake, senior technical product manager at Microsoft. “So, we are excited to now see harmon.ie take advantage of exciting new Office 2016 capabilities to increase users’ productivity across every platform on which people work, including Windows, Mac, the Web and a host of mobile devices.”
