Awe-inspiring is the only way to describe the latest European SharePoint Conference (#ESPC16). The best ESPC ever, has just wound down and the tones from the conference sessions are still resonating (in ‘harmony’) from the land of Mozart. This year’s conference was the biggest ever, with delegates attending from all across Europe. Conference attendees were treated to sessions from SharePoint community experts about the greatest that SharePoint and Office 365 offer.
The conference opened on Day 1 with the conference keynote session which featured detailed demos of what’s new in SharePoint, in the cloud, and on premises. Led by Microsoft product experts Dan Holme (@danholme), Chris McNulty (@cmcnulty2000), and Matt Berg (@bergasonic), the keynote set the pace for the remainder of the three-day conference. During the event, dozens of technical and business sessions were presented, highlighting new and exciting SharePoint capabilities and solutions.
And of course, harmon.ie was there with an impressive showing of force. As Platinum sponsors of the event, this was the best ESPC in harmon.ie’s history. Here are some of the harmon.ie highlights from the conference:
A packed room attended harmon.ie co-founder and CTO Roy Sheinfeld’s conference session “Building Intelligent Apps Using the Microsoft Graph,” a first of its kind talk on how to extract the value of the Microsoft graph for business productivity. This expert session was one of the best talks at the three-day conference.Building Intelligent Apps Using Microsoft Graph from Roy Sheinfeld
Two harmon.ie-led ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions were oversubscribed; those who did succeed in getting in the door, caught a glimpse of how harmon.ie is humanizing SharePoint, Office 365, and the business cloud so individuals can focus on work rather than on how to use new technology. On day 2, attendees heard SwissRe VP and Enterprise Architect Jochen Kleinshnittger, detail how harmon.ie is helping SwissRe’s 14,000 employees in 50 countries realize the Digital Workplace by “helping employees move to the cloud.” On day 3, attendees heard The Global Fund’s, Business Analyst Philip Worrell, explain how harmon.ie is a key enabler in helping The Global Fund leverage Office 365 to help eradicate HIV, Tuberculosis, and Malaria around the world, calling harmon.ie “the most valuable tool we have ever used.”
At the conference’s Gala Awards Dinner, held at Vienna’s stunning Hofburg Palace, harmon.ie bestowed its annual Top 25 European Office 365 Influencer Awards to this year’s winners. These awards recognize the top SharePoint trailblazers; those who lead the way on collaboration and guide European organizations on how to achieve the full potential of their SharePoint and Office 365 investments.
