The Excitement Lives On…
We are still basking in the glow of an amazing European SharePoint Conference 2015 (#ESPC15), held recently in Stockholm, Sweden. This year’s event was the biggest (and best) European SharePoint Conference ever held, attended by over 1500 delegates from all across Europe. Conference attendees were treated to a host of cutting-edge sessions led by Microsoft leaders and Office 365 experts from all over the globe.
The conference opened on Day 1 with the conference keynote session which featured an insight to Microsoft’s roadmap for Office 365 and SharePoint 2016. Led by Microsoft executives Jeff Teper (Corporate Vice President for SharePoint and OneDrive), Seth Patton (Global Sr. Director of SharePoint and OneDrive), and Bill Baer (Sr. Technical Product Manager), the keynote set the pace for the remainder of the three-day conference. During the event, dozens of technical and business sessions were presented, highlighting new and exciting SharePoint capabilities and solutions.
And of course, harmon.ie was there with an impressive showing of force. As Platinum sponsors of the event, this was the best ESPC in harmon.ie’s history. Here are some of the harmon.ie highlights from the conference:
Over 400 delegates visited the harmon.ie stand in the Exhibit hall and saw harmon.ie in action – on the desktop and on mobile devices.
Over 100 delegates attended the harmon.ie-led conference session “Office 2016 Dirty Little Secrets” to hear about how Office 2016 Groups and SharePoint Teams Sites complement each other in Office 365, and how to use each for various collaboration scenarios.
Two harmon.ie-led ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions were oversubscribed; those who did succeed in getting in the door, caught a glimpse of what’s new in ‘harmon.ie 2016.’ On day 1, attendees were treated to a customer-led presentation by Council of Europe’s IT Unit Manager, Phillipe Reilhac, who explained how harmon.ie is helping the Council of Europe better monitor human rights in over 45 countries. On day 2, attendees heard Daimler AG’s IT Project Manager for Executive Service, Daniel Schulte, detail how harmon.ie is helping Daimler’s executive team and board members stay current with business-critical documents on the iPad; in the office and on the go.
At the conference’s Gala Awards Dinner, held at Stockholm’s iconic city hall, harmon.ie bestowed its annual Top 25 European Office 365 Influencer Awards to this year’s winners. These awards are the ‘Nobel Prizes’ for the European SharePoint community leaders, so it’s fitting that the awards were presented in the same hall where Nobel Prizes are given.
